Cybersecurity Major

About

I am originally from Sacramento California, but I have lived practically my whole life in Charlotte, North Carolina. I was raised by two parents who strongly believed in the importance of a strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit. For as long as I can remember we have been working on projects together as a family, from building our house from the ground up to starting a business.

I have loved computers from a young age but I haven't always been focused on cybersecurity. I originally planned to go into computer programming because I loved the complexity of code and trying to solve the puzzle of how things worked. As I explored this field, however, I realized that my true passion was in cybersecurity. I have always looked at things differently than most people and I have been fascinated with breaking things in order to put them back together. When I discovered penetration testing, I realized that that was my calling, using my passion and skills to help businesses improve their security.

I am now a student at North Greenville University in Tigerville, South Carolina and I am pursuing my bachelor's in cybersecurity. From completing sandboxes in HackTheBox to researching complex topics like network protocols I am always looking for opportunities to increase my knowledge and understanding.
